MEMBERS MEMBER MEETING

DEER CREEK CLUB HOUSE

JANUARY 27, 2009 

CALL TO ORDER: President Tom Voss called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the clubhouse at Deer Creek, the location noted in the meeting notice.

DETERMINATION OF A QUORUM: A quorum was met with 26 members present and 18 represented by proxy.  Manager Kathy Waterhouse was also present and stated we have a quorum since 30 are needed.

CONFIRMATION OF PROPER MEETING NOTICE: Affidavits were presented stating that notice had been mailed to all owners in accordance with the Bylaws of the Association and requirements of Florida Statutes.

PURPOSE OF MEETING: The membership was advised that due to the change in state law the membership is required to vote if they want the board of directors to serve two year terms.  This vote is required to be taken prior to the annual meeting.  Motion to continue with two (2) year terms was made by Tom Voss and seconded by Joyce Kelbaugh.  The vote was 44 Yes and 2 No.  Motion   passed.

CALL TO ADJOURN:  A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting.  Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
